Joe Walden has more than 45 years of supply chain management and leadership experience on five continents. He served for 26 years in the U.S. Army, where he developed a $6.2 billion long-range research and development budget, served as chief supply chain officer for the U.S. Army?s National Training Center, and developed the distribution system and 4.2 million square foot distribution center to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also has worked as a supply chain leadership consultant and as a senior training developer for the U.S. Army. He currently is an associate teaching professor for supply chain management, operations management, and decision-making at the University of Kansas. His education includes a doctorate in education; master?s degrees in engineering, strategic planning, and systems management; and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in logistics.
