Author Bio

Matt Talbert

Matt Talbert has been with ASCM for more than eight years and currently is the senior manager of content and business intelligence. His background is in data analysis, research and survey methodology. He oversees the development of ASCM's annual Supply Chain Salary and Career Survey Report and the annual Top 10 Supply Chain Trends list. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Iowa and a master of public administration degree from Roosevelt University.

Armand van Oostrom

Armand van Oostrom is a senior lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where he contributes to the international business program. He also participates in the designing value networks research group at the university and leads work streams for two projects focused on entrepreneurial ecosystems. He has more than 25 years of international experience as a consultant and chief operating officer specializing in operations and supply chain management. He also holds a degree in business administration from Maastricht University and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Utrecht University, with a research focus on building capacity to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems through a systemic co-design approach.

Amy Augustine, CSCP

Amy Augustine, CSCP, is senior director of network supply chain at U.S. Cellular, where she successfully led an organizational transformation of the company’s network supply chain operations. She is responsible for a team of 25 associates and 30 contractors and has ownership and responsibility for all procurement activities, planning and forecasting, logistics and inventory operations. In addition, Augustine oversees 6 warehouses across the United States with approximately $150 million in average in inventory. She is a dynamic supply chain leader and has spent more than 20 years in both the industry and as a consultant.

Ulf Suerig

Ulf Suerig is director of supply chain operations within the Switzerland-based pharmaceutical division of Abbott, a global health care company. He is responsible for business process management, master data management, serialization and traceability, as well as the transformation of the supply chain on a global scale.
