Author Bio

Dr. Albrecht Ricken is a leading expert in Industry 4.0 at SAP SE, focusing on robotics, digital twins, and data sovereignty. He joined SAP in 1994 as a logistics consultant and has since held various roles, including head of SAP's Latin American supply chain practice and co-founder of Quendian, a supply chain consulting firm. Returning to SAP in 2008, he has worked in New Product Introduction and Research & Innovation. Albrecht also chairs the Special Interest Group on Product Management and Innovation in the Supply Chain Council and led the Innovation subcommittee for ASCM RISC from 2019 to 2021. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
