Description
Historically, procurement’s value has been measured in two fundamental ways: savings and delivery. Today, a combination of disruption, changing social priorities, and the emergence of the digital era are evolving and augmenting the way procurement is valued and measured. Increasingly, organizations are working to be more agile and more customer centric and enabling those objectives through digital transformation. This session will focus first on where procurement organizations are today and why they need to evolve. Second, where does procurement need to go and what new activities do they need to engage in to create new value streams. Third, how does procurement get there along with insights into bringing visibility to these activities. Presented at the 2019 ASCM Conference--Las Vegas, Nevada.
