Description

AI is moving beyond chat and copilots toward agents that can take action and complete work. This session breaks down what makes an AI agent different, how agents are built, and what that means for supply chain professionals. Using real-world examples—from resolving delays and communicating with carriers to updating systems—attendees will explore the building blocks of agentic AI, including reasoning, tools, memory, and execution. The session will also introduce today’s leading AI tools and agent frameworks, including Claude and ChatGPT, so attendees can better understand what’s possible and where these technologies can fit into their work.

You'll leave able to:

Tell agentic execution apart from chat and copilot tools by the work each one does.

Describe the four parts of an agent and how its reasoning loop uses memory.

Name the tools in the market and what each is good for.
