Amy Augustine

Director of Network Supply Chain and Indirect Procurement, U.S. Cellular

Amy Augustine oversees a team leading the small cell deployment strategy along with indirect procurement activities. Amy has held various roles within supply chain and has worked at U.S. Cellular more than 10 years. She has a particular interest in how 5G technology can transform the future of supply chain. Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years in the consulting industry working for KPMG, BearingPoint, and the Revere Group. Amy currently serves on the ASCM Research, Innovation and Strategy committee and holds CSCP certification. She earned a B.S. in applied science from Miami University of Ohio and an MBA in operations management and international business from Loyola University in Chicago.

James D. Hess, CSCP

Global Supply Chain Manager of Audiovisual and IT Hardware, Google

James Hess serves on the Association for Supply Chain 2021 Board of Directors and is global supply chain manager of audiovisual and IT hardware for Google, where he has worked for eight years. He is responsible for the world’s largest fleet of AV and collaborative IT assets, composed of 20,000 connected locations in more than 200 countries. He manages the production and delivery of AV assemblies, the lifecycle entry of proprietary technologies, and fleet sustainment to retirement. Prior to Google, he served in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years, climbing to the rank of colonel and director of operational sustainment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and communications from the University of Toledo, a master’s degree in logistics management from the Florida Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in military studies from the United States Marine Corps University, and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
