Panel Discussion on Ports and Containers

Catalog: Webinar
Short name: Panel Discussion on Ports and Containers

Description

While ASCM serves over 40,000 supply chain professionals with an interest in the operations of the world’s ocean ports, most consumers are relatively unaware of the lengthy process necessary to get products from factories into stores. And while COVID-19 has generated increased awareness of the supply chain, the realities of international cargo trade remain relatively unknown. One of the biggest hurdles for cargo movement is the ports, from congestion on the west coast of North America to the recent blockage of the Suez Canal. Join Kim Daniels, chief executive of Mercantile Logistics and International Trade, in a conversation with Dr. Noel Hacegaba, deputy executive director and chief operating officer at the Port of Long Beach, and Anthony Otto, chief executive officer of Long Beach Container Terminal, as they share their insights and predictions for the future of this hallmark of supply chain.
